I love this trip. At first I was concerned as our previous Rick Steves tour was the Best of England Guided Tour. Researching Rick's book and taking a tour of the city (narrated by Rick), we had no trouble seeing the highlights of each city and using our time wisely.

I chose My Way Tour of Spain because I don't think I can keep up with regular tours. My Camino Tour is great! I particularly enjoyed some of the optional group events: a dinner with a view of the Alhambra, a Paco Seco concert in Ronda, and a flamenco show in Seville (sadly I couldn't make it, although I hear it's great), all organized by our tour from Brian.

It was a wonderful "My Way" tour of Spain, thanks in no small part to our experienced and enthusiastic guides, David and Luis, who provided invaluable information and insight. The "My Way" travel mode is perfect for me. I am a single elderly woman who wants to travel but is happy to have support along the way. RS took over the "business" of planning and organizing the itinerary, allowing me to plan the fun parts of being in a city. Combined with RS books and an excellent "tour manager" who was available every morning, I had my online tickets on hand and ready to explore on my own or with others in our group.

"If we wanted to get together as a group, the tour manager would suggest several places to eat. Dinner on the terrace in front of the Alhambra was spectacular. This is what we saw the next day in Granada so we could watch the sunset, as they change the colors from the snow capped mountains to the Alhambra as we stop for our meal will always be a highlight of my travels.

This is my first Rick Steves tour. Based on what I've reviewed over the years, Monday nights, shows, and other information, I have good expectations. Overall it was a great trip. It met all expectations and delivered more than expected. Tiredness aside, soon I'll be ready to do it again. "There are many, but I find the Segrada Familia incredible and overwhelming. It is a modern work of art, a building dedicated to the Sagrada Familia. The concept, the design and the creativity of Gaudi is incredible. It has to be in person. I plan to return when I finish hopefully in 2027. I think a different kind of smaller WOW is an experience of many aspects of Spanish culture. We had a professional tour guide who was very knowledgeable and approachable. The 'my way' model worked well for us - we loved the transport and accommodation they arranged for us and our tour manager, Rich Earl, was fantastic! He is fluent in Spanish and helped us a lot with booking trains and choosing tours. His general knowledge of the cities we visited helped guide us.

"The Sagrada Familia is stunning and Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities we have ever seen! We would have liked to have had one more day in Ronda as it is so stunning and spectacular. The Alhambra in Granada is stunning. Deep, but we I like the most popular Alcazar in Seville because it has the same Moorish decoration but half the time to visit the Alhambra, if someone pays to see the royal residence you can see these impressive rooms, full of period furniture.

out of my expectation! The ease and fluidity of travel scheduling makes traveling easy and enjoyable. The programming is perfect. Rico, our guide was prompt and professional throughout the entire trip. His enthusiasm in describing the sights and culture of the places we visited was incredible.

"The optional activities were amazing. I signed up for all of them and they really made the experience of being part of the culture so enjoyable. Dinner at Granada restaurant was perfect - view, food, service and location."

This was my first tour and I couldn't be happier with the experience! When our guide fell ill, I was impressed with the speed of the change arranged by Rick Steves - the tour went on smoothly and a new guide joined us soon after. Many thanks to the guide for the informative and directional tour, the optional activities and the dinner they organized was excellent. It is very easy to travel by train and bus and the hotels are excellent. I can't wait to do another tour!

"We were at the Don Bosco House Museum in Ronda, a beautiful mansion with a terrace overlooking beautiful gardens and the valley. With sandwiches in hand, we settled in to listen to a Spanish guitar concert, with a breeze blowing through the room and the birds singing. outside. It was such a magical moment!"

The trip was great. We like it a lot. The tour leader planned all check-in and hotel transportation very well. Our original lead was only on the team for a few days due to COVID. The second host on the tour, Amanda, was great. From her He shared her knowledge of her and her experience of living in Spain and it was a pleasure talking to her.

Well our team was great our first guide Rich Earl was great until he got Covid and we needed another guide in Madrid. Amanda took over and she was great but she had to leave us in Seville, Connie took over and was very attentive and professional. In general, Covid was a hindrance to everything, as 5 other members of our group got infected and had to leave. By this time we were tired of eating indoors (including breakfast with our group).

"Again, it's always the shortest stops and the smallest cities that are the most impressive. Ronda (on the Tour) and Toledo (on the way to Madrid) are the most spectacular, and I could have been in both places to stay longer. ! "

I think the trip went well. Our tour guide is very helpful. We were happy to arrive in Barcelona a day early. There is a lot to see in a given period of time. I like central hotels, except in Madrid. I think it's in Times Square. People are above people. If we didn't have this covid experience I'm sure it would be very different. Our guide and five members of the tour group have previously tested positive. We just want to stay healthy.

This trip was exactly what we were looking for. I have Parkinson's and I think aggressive touring from you might be too much for me. We arrived a few days ago and we stayed in Seville a few days after our trip. Turns out we walk up to 6 miles a day. The hotel is located in the center of the city, which is very good. Especially Hotel Jazz helped us a lot. Most places have elevators for my use. Asa is an excellent team leader.

"Asa organized a dinner in a restaurant in Granada with views of the Alhambra. We had a separate room. The dinner was delicious. When the daylight went out, the Alhambra lit up. What a show. The next day we had a guided tour of the Alhambra Alhambra and marveled at the intricate carvings from the Islamic period. My second wow moment was the new bridge over the Ronda Gorge.

I love Spain My Way Tour, the itinerary is perfect, transportation and hotels is where we want to go. We have added three days in Barcelona to make the most of Gaudi's impressive city and visit Girona and the coast. Our guide Asa was great and she loved the perspective she brought as someone who has fallen in love with Spain and flamenco. The Spanish landscape is stunning and the way the cultures change in each region is fascinating.

If you wish to book hotel accommodation before or after the tour, the contact information for the first and last hotel on the tour is included in the tour confirmation email and in the itinerary section of the tour account. You will find directions to the first hotel on the tour and a full list of the hotels we will be staying at in the "Documents" section of your travel account one month prior to tour departure.
flight
Our tours do not include airfare, so the organization of the flight is entirely up to you.
Most members of the tour group organize flights to Barcelona (BCN) and Seville (SVQ); select 'multi-city' on the flight booking site. Booking a round trip to the city requires connecting flights, train travel or an additional night in Spain.
We recommend arriving a day or two before your trip to give yourself enough time to overcome jet lag and get plenty of rest for the first few days of your trip. For more information on round trip transportation options, please ask your Rick Stevesguide in spanish.
