"Another" is the kind of show that leaves cliffhanger after cliffhanger at the end of each episode. If you love tense shows like this, you might watch the entire series in one sitting. Short anime shows usually tend to go astray somewhere, either in pacing or character development. But 'Another' brilliantly manages to use its 12 episodes to its advantage. Even the storyline is quite brilliant and it's executed very intelligently too. But what I liked most about "Another" is its unique animation style and the promise of violence that comes with it. For me,Gore-Induced Actionis always the best because it adds a sense of realism to the fight scenes.
As for the overall animation, I wouldn't say it has very high production value. But the series also pays attention to the smallest things, like crows sitting in the background with hungry faces, or a dark backdrop of empty, rusting old buildings. All of this combined makes the show's intentionally seedy setting all the more boring and creepy. And by boring, I don't mean that in a negative way; In fact, it enhances all of the anime's dark "feelings". The whole atmosphere created in the 12 episodes is just perfect and turns out to be unlike anything I've seen before.
So if we're still on the same page now, then "Other" is aHorror-Animethat you don't want to miss. If you haven't seen it yet, wait until midnight, turn off the lights, and start bingeing. You will end up losing a few hours of sleep, but trust me, it will be worth it. There might be some big plot holes that you'll eventually discover towards the end, and even the characters will feel a little boring at times. But if you can take itHorror-KillerMovies like 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' that have literally no character development so this one shouldn't look too bad. If you've seen the first season of "Another" then you're probably hoping, as I am, that another season will be released soon. We might have news on that later in this post.
Another Season 2 Release Date: When Will It Premiere?
Season 1 of "Another" was released on January 12, 2010 and lasted until March 27, 2012 with a total of 12 episodes. This was followed by a prequel.OVUMwhich came out on May 26, 2012, but nothing was heard from the show after that. So far there are no speculations or rumors about the second season of "Another". So it seems very unlikely thatPA workshe will think of inventing a new one. Even if the studio somehow decides to extend the show, "Another's" season 2 release date could fall sometime in 2021 or 2022. We'll update this section as soon as we know more.

Another plot:
"Another" is set in a town called Yomiyama, plagued by fear and darkness after the death of aschoolBoy named Miskai in 1972. Today everyone knows the city's dark secrets, but no one dares to talk about it. 26 years after this event, a 15-year-old boy named Kouichi Sakakibara enrolls in Class 3-3 at Yomiyama North High School, where Misaki was once a student. Once there, he notices that all of the students in his class are engulfed in this unusual darkness. He is also attracted to a strange girl named Mei Misaki who wears an eye patch. It gets even more mysterious when he realizes that no one else in his class notices them.
Soon Kouichi approaches her and begins to discover that toosecretbehind the darkness that hangs over the faces of everyone around you. But the deeper he delves into the mysteries, the more he becomes drawn to the horrific and tragic realities around him. This season is followed by an OVA prequel also known as "Episode 0" of the season. This special episode takes you into the origins of the mystery as well as the backstory of Mei Misaki.

Mei Misaki:
Mei Misaki is Kouichi's classmate at Yomiyama North High School and her presence often goes unnoticed by all of her classmates and teachers. She is also referred to as "the one that doesn't exist" by almost everyone at school. Mei also has a twin sister whose story is told in theOVA-Prequela. She walks around with a medical bandage over her left eye and is often seen in her school uniform. she has short black eyesblack furwith long bangs.
Misaki displays a total detachment from everyone around her, often saying that she sees no point in human relationships. She believes that no matter how many friends you make along the way, you end up feeling lonely. This is the reason why she initially pushes Kouichi away from herself even though he still stays with her. Over time, she gets used to his presence and even begins to like her. She even starts to develop feelings for him because he is the only person in the whole school who stands up for her and doesn't ignore her presence. He hates carrying a cell phone, which is probably due to his reclusive nature. but she still wears one because her aunt forces her to. She is very insecure about the prosthetic eye she hides with the eye patch because her two eyes are different colors. He only shows it once to Kouichi, who says it's beautiful. His only hobby is looking at art and appreciating its beauty.
Kouichi Sakakibara
Kouichi is a 15-year-old transfer student at Yomiyama North High School and the only child of the Sakakibara family. His mother died after he was born and he now lives with his grandparents and aunt while his father works in India. She has a fairly youthful face, with slightly long brown hair and deep brown eyes. Kouchi shows signs of curiosity from the start, and even after being warned by his classmates, he doesn't stop searching for what really happened 26 years ago. At first, he begins to suspect that Mei might be a ghost or just a figment of his imagination because literally no one acknowledges her presence at school. But much later, when everyone ignores him too, he's relieved that Mei is real, and then the two grow closer.
Kouchi often reads American horror novels, including the works ofStephen Kingand João Saulo. His love of horror novels explains his curiosity about the school's dark past. Kouichi is usually friendly and makes new friends from the first day of school. But he has no idea how girls feel about him and often doesn't realize that some of his peers actually like him.
